1.财政悬崖(Fiscal Cliff)

5.你只活一次(YOLO)

这是“你只活一次”的首字母缩写,因说唱歌手德雷克在歌曲《座右铭》中提到和演员扎克·埃夫隆将“YOLO”文在手上而走红。它带有及时行乐的意思,不过年轻人也用这个词来以一种调侃的方式为糟糕的决定开脱,特别是那些似乎会带来即时满足的决定。

The acronym for“You Only Live Once”was popularized by rapper Drake in his song“The Motto”and actor ZacEfron,who had“YOLO”tattooed on his hand.The meaning is something like carpe diem,though young people also use it to jokingly justify poor decisions,particularly those that seem to yield instant gratification.

6.粉红肉渣(Pink Slime)

7.提线木偶(Muppet)

Smith wrote.“Over the last 12 months I have seen five different m anaging directors refer to th eirown clients as‘muppets.’”Th is is muppet in the British sense———slang sim ply meaning that someone is a fool.

8.德雷科(Derecho)

10.蜂腰小裙摆(Peplum)
